Features Marcella Carbonaro

I am Marcella Carbonaro, born on 03/05/1961, I live and give free rein to my artistic passion in Grosseto, a charming city in the Tuscan Maremma.
Even as a child I was inclined to draw, thus obtaining good grades in school.
I grew up in Genoa, where I wanted to enroll in art school, but not having my parents consent, I gave up.
So I went to accounting school, which wasnt for me.
In the years to come I have always drawn, painted and appreciated good taste and colours, attending window dressing courses and working in this sector.
About 15 years ago my self-taught artistic passion exploded; exactly in Sicily, where I found the inspiration for the paintings that still represent me, or the curiosity for different peoples, civilizations and cultures.
In fact, I show great interest in countries such as Africa, India, the Orient in general, perhaps because I was born in an area of ​​the Maghreb, i.e.
in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, from an Italian family who emigrated from Sicily .
Not being able to paint when I was young, because I was too busy raising my four children, between breastfeeding, baby food and diapers, I find myself today able to give free rein to my greatest passion, Art in all its forms, especially painting.
What I express in my paintings is surely cheerfulness, happiness, joy...
given by a tempestuous vastness of colours.
